FAF Chic: Strut Files
0 commentsI recently discovered designer Sergio Zelcer, and let me just say it was love at first sight. His shoes are down right fabulous. They seem to be made for making a statement and adding that haute element to your outfit. I did a google search to see where you can purchase his designs and so far Endless.com seems to have the best selection. We will be preparing for the fall season pretty soon, but these shoes are definitely a must purchase for the remaining summer nights.

I Like Her Style
1 comments

I am a huge fan of Chrisette Michelle. Her music and her style is refreshing and unique without being contrived. She just has an amazing coolness about her. This past week she hit up 106 & Park and looked super fab in casual chic way. Her spread in Vibe with football player Osi Umenyiora was also super hot to me. What can I say I'm a fan. If you are fan like me be sure to check her out on BET's Rising Icons tonight.

Music Monday: Jordin Sparks

Jordin Sparks' sophomore album "Battlefield" hit stores last week. The title track has been getting some good rotation in my music player. Ms. Sparks has been looking incredibly fabulous lately, and I'm glad to see her back with new music. Check out the YouTube video of her in concert with the Jonas Brothers below. You can also get a sample of some the albums tracks on her official website here.

Big statement necklaces are a huge trend this season. I love this one by Diane Gilman that I found via the Home Shopping Network website. It's intricate and colorful which spells instant desire for me.

I love, love, love these shoes. I love metallics because of their versatility and the way they can integrate into a wardrobe seamlessly. These bronze heels are giving me fever right now. I like the Urban Originals website because their prices are excellent for trendy of the moment shoes.

FOX Broadcasting Company: MORE TO LOVE
Shared via AddThis
About More to Love- via the Fox website
MORE TO LOVE, the new dating competition show from Mike Fleiss ("The Bachelor"), follows one regular guy's search for love among a group of real women determined to prove that love comes in all shapes and sizes. The inspirational new series is hosted by iconic supermodel Emme.
Luke Conley is a 26-year-old former college football offensive lineman who stands 6'3" and weighs over 300 pounds. He's a successful sub-contractor and real estate investor who has his sights set on building a long-lasting relationship. Luke's ideal woman is intelligent, passionate, down-to-earth, full-figured and comfortable in her own skin.
This eligible guy will have the chance to find the woman of his dreams when 20 voluptuous ladies vie for his heart. These unique women have careers ranging from waitress to teacher to lawyer to rocket scientist, but they all have one thing in common: They are also looking for love.
This brawny prince is searching for one curvy Cinderella to take on the romantic adventure of a lifetime. Throughout the course of his journey, Luke will wine and dine these women during romantic outings, where some will experience their first real dates. As Luke narrows the competition each week through emotional elimination ceremonies, he will be one step closer to finding the woman who is his perfect fit.
Plus size girls are getting a lot more shine on television these days. More to Love a show similar to The Bachelor, but with curvy contestants is the newest show to hit the airwaves. The show is hosted by the eternally beautiful and fabulous Emme, a pioneer in the plus size modeling industry. I must admit her involvement in the show does make me interested in watching. There has been a lot of conversation lately surrounding the newest shows on television with plus size leads or contestants. How do you feel about the current depiction of women with curves? Will you watching this show? Leave me your comments and lets talk about it.

The summer season is really heating up. Before the season comes to a close I know I intend to attend at least a few more pool parties. I needed to have a good selection of swimsuits on tap for that occasion, so I checked out Always for Me for some sexy swim options. I was very pleased with the options available. Plus size swimsuits have come a long way, and I'm glad to see the changes. What are your favorite websites for plus size swimsuits?

Fab Deals of the Day: Overstock.com

JFW Paisley Maxi Dress- $45.99
Izod Leather Cycle Jacket- $159.99
Donna Ricco Silk Dress- $58.99
Hype "Jordan" Vintage Crossbody Flap Handbag- $97.99I checked out Overstock.com to see what their selection was like . I had visited the site in the past but never found anything that struck my fancy. Today I had a different experience however. I was able to find several items which I would actually purchase, including a Donna Ricco dress for less than $100, quite a steal. I love leather jackets especially the motorcycle styles so the Izod jacket pictured above is a must have for me. I almost can't wait for fall to get into this jacket. The plus size selection could be better but, in the end I would say Overstock.com is worth at least a quick virtual browse.

FAF Chic: Fab Finds

I came across this great website via one of my twitter friends @TheFatApple called Smashing Darling. This site is dedicated to Indie fashion items. Similar to Etsy there are custom created items available for sale. I stumbled upon A Quirk of Art: Mixed Media Jewelry by Beth Taylor and fell in love. I have always liked charm bracelets so her designs are right up my alley. I also like that her jewelry is made from recycled and found items, which is so eco chic. You can check out more of Beth's designs here.

Party Girl Weekend
0 commentsIt's summer time, the weather has been great and a girl has been in need of a good party. Going out for me is a task, because there is no way I will leave the house without an outfit that is comfortable and makes me feel sexy. I'm single and still in my 20's, so looking my age and staying vibrant is important to me.
This weekend I was in need of some serious girl time. So I was ready to pack my bags and get a way for a weekend of fun. I found some great items to pack in my getaway bag over on Casual-Plus.com. They have a nice selection of inexpensive dresses and tops that are perfect for a weekend trip. My favorite items are pictured above. I especially love the zebra print mini-skirt. The possibilities in my mind for this skirt are endless. Oh fashion how I love thee!

Hot or Not: Shoe Edition

Mod Cloth- Unicorn Princess HeelI haven't done a Hot or Not post in a while so I thought I would bring this feature back with a bang. Edgy and unique is the current preferred trend of the moment. Do these shoes meet or miss the mark?
My two cents on this design is that it's unique for sure, but I can so see this shoe paired up with a cute party dress. So my vote is Hot!

Premiere: The Beth Ditto Collection for Evans
0 comments
After a lot of anticipation and waiting with baited breath the Beth Ditto collection is finally available for purchase online at Evans.
A few pieces that caught my eye are the acid washed denim pencil skirt and the black biker jacket, these two items are sitting in my virtual shopping cart as we speak. I am also considering the geo sequin prom dress something about it is calling to me. I can see my entire pay check being spent as we speak. Evans has some great items on their site and shopping with them can get a girl in trouble.
